Optimise your Training
The human body is an amazing and complex organism, and requires a variety of training approaches for it to function optimally. Fitness is not just a slim waist and toned muscles, it is a strong and healthy heart and lungs, flexible muscles that allow a full and stable range of motion, muscular endurance to perform tasks over a long period, muscular strength to cope with heavy loads and produce power, core stability of the stomach and back to ensure good posture and alignment, speed, agility and balance to get the most out of life. And crucially, total fitness includes mental fitness.
I approach training from a functional standpoint. I incorporate functional movements that are similar to the movements we perform everyday or are sports specific from an athlete’s standpoint. This is because I believe it is important to improve every aspect of our lives both functionally and aesthetically. Building a solid foundation is the beginning and an essential part of a safe and beneficial fitness program, that’s why I place great emphasis on correcting muscle imbalances, developing correct posture, improving balance, and core stability in my clients’ programs. Free weights, cable machines, Swiss balls and body weight exercises are excellent ways of developing achieving these results.

I have experienced firsthand the kinds of improvements that I know can improve the lives of so many people: mental discipline, physical strength, goal-setting, self-confidence, and a comprehensive lifestyle change for the better. Over the past eight years i have had the opportunity to work with many different clients and athletes, from many different backgrounds, and have taken advantage of every opportunity to help others improve their well-being and become healthier, more confident, happier people within themselves.
